Follow up on the file of medical training, research and development in the Authority's health facilities

▪︎The Chairman of Authority holds a meeting to follow up on the file of medical training, research and development in the Authority's health facilities in the comprehensive health insurance governorates
▪︎ Implementing more than 21,000 medical training in primary care facilities, 16,000 training in medical complexes and hospitals, and 60 external training in partnership with the government and private sectors, foreign countries, and global health organizations
▪︎ Clinical protocols increased from 491 to 592 protocols, and training on them was provided with a commitment exceeding 80% to implementation. Implementing 31 clinical evidence training programs in each governorate with the participation of more than 3,500 trainees

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Authority for Health Care, held a meeting to follow up on the file of medical training, research, and development in the Authority's health facilities in the comprehensive health insurance governorates, within the framework of the Authority's plan to continuously enhance the efficiency of medical and administrative cadres and raise the quality of health services provided to citizens.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky reviewed the training performance indicators during the past period in the governorates of the first phase of implementing the comprehensive health insurance system "Port Said, Luxor, Ismailia, South Sinai, Aswan, and Suez," where more than 21,000 medical training sessions were implemented in primary care facilities and 16,000 training sessions in medical complexes and hospitals, in addition to 60 external training sessions in partnership with the government and private sectors, foreign countries, and international health organizations.
He also pointed out that the number of clinical protocols increased from 491 to 592, with a commitment exceeding 80% to implementation, and the implementation of 31 training programs on clinical evidence in each governorate with the participation of more than 3,500 trainees.

 

The Chairman of the Authority continued by emphasizing the importance of accrediting all health facility departments as training centers for the Egyptian Board, explaining that 284 departments, 369 trainers, and 1,047 trainees have been accredited so far, in addition to saving more than 5.5 million pounds by establishing the Authority's training center for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS and ACLS), which trained 13,000 at the basic level and 600 at the advanced level.
He also directed the establishment of a training register (logbook) for each medical and administrative employee that includes skills, knowledge, and behaviors (KSA), with the preparation of a quarterly report on commitment and standardization of training in all governorates.
In the context of maximizing resources and raising the efficiency of cadres, the Chairman of the Authority directed the preparation of a comprehensive plan to accredit health facility departments as training centers for the Arab Board in a way that enhances the Authority's training role locally and regionally.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki stressed that studies, research, and development represent a fundamental pillar for the continued development of the health system based on scientific foundations and for ensuring the provision of the best performance from health care service providers to citizens. The Chairman of the Authority concluded the meeting by thanking all work teams, stressing that investing in the human element, whether through continuous training or supporting research and development, represents the basic pillar for achieving the Authority's goals of providing integrated and high-quality health services under the umbrella of comprehensive health insurance.
