Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Healthcare Authority and the Supervisor General of the Universal Health Insurance and Decent Life projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, announced the increase in the target number from the initiative "Healthy Ramadan for the whole family," launched by the authority at the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan across the six governorates implementing the universal health insurance system, to 300,000 citizens.

This was announced during his chairing of the central room for monitoring and evaluating the activities of the "Healthy Ramadan for the whole family" initiative, held today at the authority's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. The meeting discussed the accomplishments within the first 10 days of launching the initiative in the governorates implementing the universal health insurance system (Port Said, Luxor, Ismailia, South Sinai, Suez, and Aswan), and monitored performance indicators. It also addressed the mechanisms for implementing the next phase of the initiative according to the new targets.

The Chairman of the Healthcare Authority directed to create a map for the flow of medicines to cover all targeted citizens by the initiative, ensuring all beneficiaries of the universal health insurance in the governorates with chronic diseases such as hypertension or diabetes, or both, receive their medications that meet their needs during the holy month.

He confirmed that the optimal use of activating remote medical consultations with consultants and specialists at family medicine centers and units will ensure reaching the largest number of targeted citizens by the campaign, meet their health needs, and ensure the provision of decent and distinguished medical service to beneficiaries on a larger scale. This contributes to achieving the highest satisfaction rates among beneficiaries, as citizen satisfaction is a top priority for the authority.

The Chairman announced the success of the "Healthy Ramadan for the whole family" initiative in reaching 40,000 citizens since the launch of the initiative, through comprehensive examinations, home visits, or delivering their medications to their homes, in addition to providing awareness and health education to them and their families on healthy lifestyle guidelines for chronic diseases and how to prevent or minimize their complications.

Furthermore, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky called on citizens to take advantage of the initiative's services and visit the mobile clinics during Ramadan to receive the necessary healthcare. He affirmed the Healthcare Authority's commitment to providing distinguished and comprehensive health services and improving health care indicators in the governorates covered by the universal health insurance system. He pointed out the continuous promotion of the importance of comprehensive medical examination and the services of the "Healthy Ramadan for the whole family" initiative through the authority's social media platforms, road advertisements, and banners in the main roads and places most frequented by citizens in the six governorates, aiming to reach the largest number of citizens and maximize the benefits of its services during the holy month.

The Chairman appreciated the sincere and diligent efforts of the medical teams contributing to the success of this initiative, emphasizing the need for electronic recording of the initiative's results in real-time to achieve accurate health indicators based on real outcomes. He expressed his gratitude to everyone contributing to achieving these satisfactory results, confirming the continuation of the campaign until the end of Ramadan, aligning with the state's efforts to expand the scope of innovative health initiatives, which ensures enhancing public health for individuals and society, and promoting awareness of a healthy lifestyle that guarantees a decent life for citizens.
