Deputy Minister of Communications Commends EHA’s Leadership in Digital Transformation: A Model of Excellence in Applying Global Tech Standards to the Healthcare Sector
In a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA), Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of EHA and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, along with Engineer Ghada Labib, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Institutional Development, honored 32 executive leaders and professionals from the Authority’s headquarters and its branches in Port Said, Ismailia, and Suez for obtaining internationally recognized certifications in Project Management (PMP, PMD) and Agile methodology implementation in healthcare.
The ceremony reflects the ongoing strategic partnership between EHA and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in line with the joint protocol that supports institutional digital transformation and boosts performance across Egypt’s healthcare system. This collaboration aligns with Egypt’s national strategy for digital institutional development.
Dr. El-Sobky highlighted that acquiring global certifications in project management and agile methodologies empowers EHA’s workforce to operate with enhanced efficiency, deliver higher-quality healthcare services, and elevate the Authority’s readiness for digital transformation in accordance with world-class standards. He praised the productive collaboration with MCIT in implementing training programs that equip leaders to spearhead both organizational and digital development within the healthcare system.

Dr. El-Sobky affirmed that the Authority remains committed to investing in human capital development by offering globally accredited training programs that foster institutional competence and long-term progress. These efforts align with Egypt’s vision of building a modern, digitally advanced healthcare system that keeps pace with international trends.
He also emphasized the importance of the Authority’s collaboration with MCIT in developing digital solutions, expanding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for health data analysis, establishing a dedicated digital research unit, and training specialists in health informatics. Additionally, the Authority is intensifying the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to optimize workflows and enhance the quality of services delivered to citizens.
Engineer Ghada Labib, Deputy Minister of Communications for Institutional Development, praised EHA’s achievements in delivering healthcare services powered by cutting-edge technologies. She described the Authority as a pioneering model in digital transformation within the healthcare sector, consistently adopting the latest technologies to ensure high-quality, integrated services aligned with global standards.
She further stated that empowering EHA’s professionals with advanced project management and agile skills accelerates the pace of healthcare sector development, supports the national digital transformation agenda, and enables the delivery of more efficient and innovative healthcare services. She affirmed the Ministry’s commitment to continue supporting EHA’s digital transformation projects and organizational development initiatives across all branches and health facilities.
