The Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority attended the closing ceremony of the second edition of the "Saudi German" Healthcare Services Providers Awards 2024.

The Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority expressed pleasure in winning two awards at the "Saudi German" Healthcare Awards: "the first," a gold level in Sustainability and Green Healthcare for the Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital in South Sinai, and "the second," a bronze level in Cost Effectiveness for the Ismailia Medical Complex in Ismailia.

The Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority emphasized that participation in the Saudi German Healthcare Award reaffirms the collective efforts of all sectors of the state involved in healthcare—governmental, academic, private, and civil—and affirmed that the participation of various state sectors in the award is a clear proof of working hand in hand to achieve a strong and sustainable healthcare system that meets the needs and aspirations of Egyptians.

The Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority declared that the ongoing successes of comprehensive healthcare reform in Egypt, supported by the efforts of all, highlight Egypt’s historic status and its ranking among advanced countries in healthcare due to the dedicated efforts of its people.


Dr. Ahmed El Sabki, the Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance and Decent Life projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, attended the closing ceremony honoring healthcare service providers who won the "Saudi German" Award in its second edition for 2024.

The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, heads and leaders of health authorities in Egypt, leaders of the Ministry of Health and Population, prominent figures in the medical community, and all success partners from leaders in the Egyptian healthcare sector, both government and private.

At the beginning of the event, Dr. Ahmed El Sabki appreciated the gracious invitation from the Saudi German Hospital Group to participate in the ceremony, expressing his thanks and appreciation to Engineer Sobhi Batterjee, Chairman of the Group's Board, Dr. Khalid Batterjee, Vice Chairman of the Board, Dr. Mohammed Hablas, Regional Director of Saudi German Hospitals, and all leaders and management members of the group, as well as participants in the ceremony.

Dr. El Sabki expressed deep appreciation for the Saudi German Healthcare Award, which acts as a strong incentive and encouragement for all working in healthcare in Egypt. He confirmed that this award enhances innovation and excellence in providing healthcare services and contributes to the continuous development and improvement of healthcare quality to global standards.

Dr. Ahmed El Sabki highlighted that the Saudi German Healthcare Award embodies Egypt’s vision to build a strong and sustainable healthcare system through the joint efforts of all concerned sectors. He emphasized that any country's success in healthcare relies on a strong partnership between the governmental, academic, private, and civil sectors, and that universal health insurance forms the basis for building a strong and effective cooperative relationship among these sectors.

Dr. El Sabki praised the diverse participation of various state sectors in the Saudi German Award, noting that it reflects joint work and cooperation towards achieving an advanced and progressive healthcare model that meets the aspirations and needs of Egyptians. He expressed confidence in the continuous success of comprehensive health reform in Egypt through the united efforts and cooperation of all involved parties.

Finally, Dr. Ahmed El Sabki expressed his gratitude to all healthcare service providers who won the Saudi German Award, thanking them for their ongoing efforts and dedication to providing excellent healthcare to citizens. He encouraged them to continue their hard work and innovation in healthcare, as they serve as an inspiring model of professionalism and dedication, jointly enhancing healthcare in Egypt.

This event honored the best in healthcare in Egypt amid the presence of prominent figures in the healthcare sector, including two awards for healthcare service providers in facilities of the Egypt Healthcare Authority under the universal health insurance system: the first, a Bronze Level Award for Cost-Effective Project "Save Saving" for the Ismailia Medical Complex, and the second, a Gold Level Award for the Best Project in Sustainability and Green Hospitals for Sharm El-Sheikh International Hospital in South Sinai. This event reflects the ongoing efforts of concerned parties in the state to enhance and develop healthcare and honor the efforts made in this vital field.
