Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Egypt Health Care Authority and the General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance and Hayat Karema projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, honored Engineer Mohamed Fouad, Director of the Medical Engineering Administration at the authority's headquarters. Engineer Fouad was recognized as an exemplary figure for his outstanding and dedicated efforts in his role. Dr. El-Sobky also expressed gratitude to Major General Sherif Bilal, the Assistant Executive Director for Engineering and Projects Affairs, for his ongoing support, as well as to the entire team for their excellent performance.
Dr. El-Sobky praised the continuous development of the smart system for managing and maintaining medical and non-medical assets in the facilities of the authority within the provinces covered by the Universal Health Insurance system. He noted that, thanks to the concerted efforts, 99% of the medical devices in the health facilities of the authority are now operating at high efficiency, and the breakdown rate has decreased to 0.8%, ensuring the continuity of exceptional health services.
The smart system enhances the optimal use of assets and ensures the sustainability of their efficiency throughout their lifecycle. It facilitates the monitoring of maintenance and calibration operations, provides immediate response to repair faults, significantly reduces unexpected failures, and identifies alternative opportunities available, helping to conserve the state's public resources.
