In response to directives from the Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and the Minister of Health, intensifying field inspections in the Upper Egypt governorates and activating the supervisory role of the Board of Directors of the Egypt Health Care Authority:
The Chairman of the Egypt Health Care Authority conducted an inspection tour of the health facilities under the Authority's jurisdiction in Aswan.
During the visit, the President inspected the Aswan Specialized Hospital and directed that a motivational bonus be granted to the hospital manager and the outpatient clinics manager.
He also inspected the Masalla Specialized Hospital and directed that a motivational bonus be given to the hospital manager, the endoscopy manager, and the lab manager.
The President visited several Sudanese patients to ensure they were receiving the best medical services at the Authority's hospitals and met with a delegation from the International Organization for Migration.
The President inspected the Kima and Shallal family medicine units to check on the efficiency of the family medicine system and primary health care services in the governorate and sought citizen feedback on the medical services.
He reviewed the ongoing development and equipment updates at the Health Insurance Hospital and emphasized rapid completion's importance in operationalizing it. He also inspected the proposed site for the Authority's branch in Aswan.
The President noted that more than half a million medical services have been provided through the Authority's facilities to beneficiaries of the universal health insurance in Aswan so far.
He stated that four hospitals and 87 centers and family medicine units have been operationalized to provide health care services to the residents of Aswan, aiming to reach 123 health facilities upon the completion of the universal health insurance system in the governorate.
He acknowledged the accreditation of 52 health facilities, both fully and preliminarily, under the Authority in Aswan, appreciating the efforts of medical, administrative, and staff teams in serving and treating patients in the governorate.
During his inspection tour, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky was accompanied by various officials including Dr. Hani Rashid, Vice President of the Egypt Health Care Authority, and the Executive Director of the Authority, among others.
