EHA Driving Internal Revenue Development Through High Committee Meeting

Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority Chairs the Regular Meeting of the High Committee for Internal Revenue Development

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, presided over the 2025 regular meeting of the High Committee for Internal Revenue Development, reviewing the implementation status of ongoing revenue-generating projects and setting directions for future initiatives to strengthen financial sustainability and enhance service quality.

Over EGP 50 Million Generated in H1 FY 2024–2025

Dr. El-Sobky praised the tangible achievements of the Committee, noting that the Authority’s strategic reinvestment in assets and launch of innovative projects resulted in revenues exceeding EGP 50 million during the first half of the current fiscal year. These results underscore the success of EHA’s model in building a sustainable healthcare system while delivering high-quality medical services to citizens.

Approval of New Revenue-Generating Projects

The committee approved several new initiatives, including:

  • Strategic partnerships with diagnostic laboratories
  • Establishment of EHA commercial central pharmacies
  • Launch of EHA ICU specialized units
  • Expansion of cosmetic dentistry services
  • Staff housing projects
  • Real estate and land investment strategies

Dr. El-Sobky directed the committee to develop comprehensive implementation plans for each initiative to ensure optimal execution and alignment with national healthcare development priorities.

Innovation as a Cornerstone for Growth

Stressing the importance of continuous innovation and overcoming implementation challenges, Dr. El-Sobky called on teams to propose bold and effective ideas that drive growth, reinforce service sustainability, and improve EHA’s operational capacity. He emphasized that innovation must remain at the heart of EHA’s internal resource development strategy.

Recognition of Outstanding Contributors

In recognition of impactful contributions to strategic projects, Dr. El-Sobky honored:

  • Dr. Aya Rashad, Director of the “Train-the-Trainer” project and member of the Research and Development Department
  • Mr. Ahmed Samir, General Coordinator of the “Staff Communications” project and supervisor of internal operations in the Strategic Planning Department

He also approved special incentives for the “Train-the-Trainer” team as part of a performance excellence reward program that recognizes top contributors to EHA’s strategic goals.
