launching the "Patient-Centered Health Care to Achieve Universal Health Coverage" (E-PaCC) project in cooperation between Egypt and Japan

The Egypt HealthCare Authority and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) launch the "Patient-Centered Health Care to Achieve Universal Health Coverage" (E-PaCC) project in cooperation between Egypt and Japan


Advisor to the President of the Republic for Health and Prevention Affairs: Japan is a major partner in developing the health system. Efficiency and effectiveness are two key pillars in our journey towards universal coverage
Head of the Healthcare Authority: The project is an extension of the fruitful partnership with JICA and an important milestone in the path of health transformation in Egypt. He stresses: The project is a new step towards consolidating the patient-centered health care model as one of the most important pillars of universal health coverage


Head of the EHA: The E-PaCC project extends until 2027 and is based on 3 axes to improve the patient experience
Head of EHA: Phase One We provided more than 70 million medical and therapeutic services to more than 5 million citizens in Phase One governorates. Announcing that the new fiscal year 2025/2026 will witness the launch of the second phase, which includes 5 governorates: Matrouh, Damietta, Kafr El-Sheikh, Minya, and North Sinai. With a total of 534 primary health care units and 30 upgraded hospitals serving 12 million citizens.


Head of EHA: Generalizing the patient-centered care model in 20 hospitals, 10 governorates, and more than 500 primary care units. Developing innovative tools to ensure the ease of the patient's journey within the facility and monitoring health safety in real time through the (OVR) system


Head of EHA: Twinning between Ismailia Specialized Hospital and Nagoya Medical Center in Japan to exchange experiences and adopt best practices is one of the project's goals
Head of EHA: We appreciate the ongoing training programs provided to our medical teams in Japan, which have contributed to refining their skills, expanding their horizons, and enhancing their ability to lead change within healthcare systems in Egypt.


Head of the Health Accreditation and Control Authority: Patient-centered care is no longer an option. Rather, it has become a global standard for safe and effective care
