Healthcare Authority has announced its medical insurance plan for the Eid Al-Adha celebrations

In line with the Ministry of Health and Population's plan, the Egypt Healthcare Authority has announced its medical insurance plan for the Eid Al-Adha celebrations in provinces implementing the comprehensive health insurance system.

The Egypt Healthcare Authority has raised the highest level of readiness in 276 health facilities under its management, ensuring the availability of a sufficient stock of medications, sera, and vaccines.

The Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority affirmed the distribution of medications to those with chronic diseases who are beneficiaries of the comprehensive health insurance system eligible for dispensing during the Eid period. He also confirmed the continuity of dialysis services during the holiday.

The Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority announced the deployment of rapid response teams and the intensification of medical efforts at 28 hospitals under the authority in provinces with comprehensive health insurance. He directed the formation of central emergency rooms at the headquarters of the Authority and local ones in the provinces during the Eid period.

The Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority emphasized the intensive monitoring of all Egypt Healthcare Authority facilities to ensure discipline and guarantee the implementation of the medical insurance plan in the provinces with comprehensive health insurance around the clock during the Eid celebration period.


The Egypt Healthcare Authority announced its medical insurance plan for the Eid Al-Adha celebration period from June 15-20. This is part of the Authority's commitment to providing all medical and therapeutic services to citizens during the celebration period, aligning with the Ministry of Health and Population's plan to secure medical services for citizens.

The statement from the Egypt Healthcare Authority explained that maximum readiness has been raised in 276 health facilities under the comprehensive health insurance system, including 248 family medicine units and centers, in addition to 28 hospitals. These facilities provide medical and therapeutic services in the provinces of Port Said, Luxor, Ismailia, South Sinai, Suez, and Aswan.

The statement continued, detailing the organization of doctors' and nurses' schedules across all departments, especially the reception and emergency departments. Rapid response teams were formed, the number of shifts was increased, and all necessary medications, medical supplies, solutions, and blood bags for all types were provided to handle any emergencies.

It was also noted that the occupancy rates of beds in hospitals, whether in inpatient departments or intensive care units, as well as the occupancy rates of ventilators, were monitored in preparation for any emergency notifications. All vaccines and sera were confirmed to be available, and the efficiency of all medical and non-medical devices in the facilities was ensured.

The Authority also mentioned the formation of a central emergency room at the headquarters of the Authority and local emergency rooms in each branch in the comprehensive health insurance provinces. It highlighted full and continuous coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population's operations room and the Egyptian Ambulance Authority around the clock. It emphasized managing all reporting and comprehensive emergency care using an integrated health circuit system enhanced by the national public safety network. This system allows for automatic calling through the unified national emergency and public safety network, ensuring instant connectivity between the Egypt Healthcare Authority and the Egyptian Ambulance Authority.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, the Chief of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and the General Supervisor of the comprehensive health insurance and Decent Life projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, emphasized coordination with the Egyptian Ambulance Authority and informing them of the hospitals designated for evacuation. This coordination aims to determine the locations for ambulance deployment and select the appropriate routes to reach the designated evacuation hospitals, ensuring that the injured reach the nearest hospitals in the shortest possible time while monitoring all vital functions of the injured from within the ambulances according to international rates.

He added that these efforts aim to ensure the health safety of citizens and provide effective and specialized care in potential emergency cases, within the framework of fruitful cooperation between various governmental agencies and institutions to provide necessary medical care in times of emergency. He reaffirmed the dispensing of medications to people with chronic diseases who are beneficiaries of the comprehensive health insurance system eligible for dispensing during the Eid period from all family medicine units and centers under the Authority in provinces with comprehensive health insurance. He also confirmed the continuity of dialysis units in hospitals in providing their medical services and receiving patients during the Eid celebration.

He directed the formation of rapid deployment teams and monitoring of health facilities to ensure the implementation of the medical insurance plan promptly. He emphasized intensive monitoring of all Egypt Healthcare Authority facilities to ensure discipline in work, whether for medical teams and staff schedules or adherence to operation lists, continuously throughout the Eid celebrations.
