During the Africa Health ExCon 2024, the Chief of Egypt Healthcare Authority witnessed the signing of two cooperation agreements to enhance medical tourism in Egypt under the authority's "We Care for You in Egypt" program.
The Chief of Egypt Healthcare Authority detailed the agreements with "CONNEX Assistance" and "EGYPT Assistance" to promote and market medical tourism to attract visitors from Europe, North Africa, and the Gulf to receive world-class medical services in the authority's hospitals. These agreements include implementing promotional programs across online platforms, organizing medical caravans within foreign embassies in Egypt, coordinating patient days abroad in cooperation with Egyptian embassies, and distributing videos and promotional materials through the company's and the authority's online platforms.
The Chief emphasized that the authority possesses healthcare facilities with advanced infrastructural and informational systems, internationally accredited, and high-level equipment with exceptional medical staff, particularly in tourist and coastal provinces. This capability enables them to expand medical tourism services and enhance Egypt's global standing in this field.
The Chief expressed a strong commitment to building strategic and sustainable partnerships in medical tourism, aligned with the state's directions to implement effective development plans and achieve the desired goals in improving healthcare services.
The Chief aims to attract a significant number of international patients for treatment in Egypt, particularly from competing countries, and to open new markets for medical tourism to maximize investment and the authority's resources, intending to make medical tourism one of the largest sources of income and foreign currency in Egypt.
The Business Development Manager of CONNEX Assistance expressed pride in collaborating with the Egypt Healthcare Authority to open new horizons for medical tourism and attract international patients for treatment in Egypt, aiming to achieve Egypt's global leadership in this field.
The General Manager of EGYPT Assistance expressed happiness about their partnership with the Egypt Healthcare Authority to enhance medical tourism in Egypt, provide distinguished medical services, improve healthcare quality, and achieve customer satisfaction.
The agreements were signed by Dr. Amir Telwany, the Executive Director of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, representing the authority, Dr. Wasim El Tanahi, Business Development Manager at CONNEX Assistance, representing his company, and Dr. Mohamed Essam El-Din, General Manager of EGYPT Assistance, representing his company.
These agreements reaffirm the commitment of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and the companies CONNEX Assistance and EGYPT Assistance to enhance cooperation to boost medical tourism in Egypt and provide the best medical services and care to patients.
