Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, met with the Head of the Government Data Center and Cloud Computing Hub "Data Hub P1" to discuss and review collaborative projects. The meeting brought together key leaders from both entities to explore innovative pathways for leveraging digital and artificial intelligence technologies in the healthcare sector.

During the discussion, both parties delved into opportunities to enhance collaboration between the Authority and Data Hub P1, focusing on advancing digital transformation and AI-driven solutions to revolutionize healthcare services under the Universal Health Insurance System. They also discussed strategies for supporting future initiatives aimed at improving the quality and sustainability of healthcare services across Egypt.

Dr. El-Sobky highlighted the visionary leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, whose directive to establish a national data center has significantly advanced Egypt’s administrative digital transformation. He emphasized how this initiative has provided unparalleled opportunities to integrate artificial intelligence into government operations, especially in healthcare, enabling data-driven decision-making and innovation to achieve sustainable development goals.

“We aim to build on the successes achieved with the Data Hub,” Dr. El-Sobky noted, referencing joint efforts to operate National Emergency Management Network Centers across healthcare facilities in the phase-one governorates of the Universal Health Insurance System.

Dr. El-Sobky outlined the Authority’s plans to harness Data Hub’s advanced capabilities in big data management and AI applications to improve healthcare services and enhance decision-making processes with accurate, real-time data insights. “This partnership will play a pivotal role in elevating the healthcare system, enabling us to offer better services and outcomes for all citizens,” he said.

He also stressed the potential of this collaboration to support the establishment of Egypt’s first Telemedicine and AI Applications Center in the New Administrative Capital and the launch of the Virtual Hospital in Ismailia. These initiatives are expected to redefine healthcare delivery, ensuring accessibility, efficiency, and high-quality care.

Looking ahead, Dr. El-Sobky expressed the Authority’s ambitions to collaborate on cutting-edge projects, including:
