EHA Chairman Meets with Veterinarians' Syndicate

Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority Meets with the General Syndicate of Veterinarians to Explore Opportunities for Collaboration

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, met with Dr. Magdy Hassan, the General Syndicate of Veterinarians, to discuss avenues for collaboration between the Authority and the Syndicate. The meeting aimed to enhance the healthcare services provided by the Authority and ensure their integration according to the latest global standards.

The discussion focused on utilizing the expertise of veterinarians in the Authority's hospitality services to ensure the safety of food systems provided to patients and staff in healthcare facilities. This step aims to achieve the highest levels of quality and safety in the services delivered.

Dr. El-Sobky emphasized during the meeting:"We are keen to leverage the diverse expertise of medical professions to achieve excellence in delivering comprehensive healthcare services. We also aim to enhance the efficient utilization of human resources to improve administrative and technical operations within the Authority."

He added, "Collaborating with veterinarians in the fields of hospitality and food safety is a significant step toward offering a holistic model of healthcare. We are committed to advancing this area in line with the best international standards, as part of enhancing and elevating the integrated healthcare system to meet the needs of citizens."

On his part, Dr. Magdy Hassan expressed the Syndicate's full readiness to support the Authority's efforts in integrating healthcare and administrative services. He praised the strategic direction of the Authority in employing various expertise and resources to develop Egypt’s healthcare system. Dr. Hassan stressed the importance of collective efforts to strengthen the joint work plan for the One Health approach, which promotes the health of humans, animals, plants, and the environment, contributing to sustainable development.

This meeting reflects the commitment of the Egypt Healthcare Authority to foster collaboration with various professional bodies to achieve sustainable development in the healthcare sector. It aligns with national strategies to enhance healthcare systems and ensure citizen satisfaction.

The meeting was attended by senior representatives from the Authority, including Dr. Ahmed Hammad, Policy and Healthcare Systems Advisor to the Chairman and Director General of the Technical Office, and Mr. Mohamed Ibrahim, Director General of the Legal Affairs Department.
