Dr. Ahmed Al-Sebki, President of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, met with Dr. Mohamed Sweilem, General Manager of Viatris in Egypt and North Africa, at the Authority’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Al-Sebki expressed his welcome for the ongoing fruitful collaboration between the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Viatris, praising the company's role in supporting the development of the healthcare system in the governorates where the Authority provides services. Both sides reviewed the achievements of the strategic partnership between the Authority and Viatris up to 2024 and discussed future cooperation opportunities for 2025.

Dr. Al-Sebki highlighted the agreement to study launching the first joint health coaching program under the name "EHA Viatris Health Coaching" to enhance awareness services, disease prevention, and improve patient quality of life.

The meeting also addressed the cooperation with Viatris to spread unified clinical protocols for Dyslipidemia and train doctors and pharmacists through the "NCD Academy" and "Viatris Connect" platforms in the first phase of the Universal Health Insurance system. Dr. Al-Sebki stated: "We have made significant progress in standardizing protocols and improving the quality of healthcare."

Furthermore, the meeting discussed integrated healthcare management for chronic diseases, including the "Diabetes 360" system for diabetes management, aimed at improving the patient treatment journey from early detection to continuous follow-up across various stages of treatment.

Dr. Al-Sebki emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation with Viatris to include areas such as mental health, pain management, green pharmacy, and the establishment of an integrated cardiovascular disease medical practice unit. He confirmed that strengthening partnerships with leading companies is a fundamental pillar for the development of the healthcare system.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Sweilem, General Manager of Viatris in Egypt, expressed his pride in the ongoing fruitful collaboration with the Egypt Healthcare Authority and its advanced systems in all aspects of service delivery. He said: "We look forward to building on these successes and expanding the scope of cooperation with the Authority at both the national and regional levels, as well as globally."
