The General Authority for Health Care revealed that more than 4 million medical and treatment services have been provided to beneficiaries of the new comprehensive health insurance system in Port Said Governorate, according to the highest international quality standards, since the start of the system’s operation in the governorate in July 2019 until now.

This came during the authority’s participation in the joint practical training activities for crises and disasters (Saqr 80), which is being implemented over three days from 1-3 August, at the General Court of Port Said Governorate, with the aim of training on how to confront crises and disasters in the governorate, as well as Determine the extent of the preparations and capabilities of the various executive bodies in dealing with crises alone or in cooperation with the armed forces and neighboring governorates, including the Port Said Health Care Authority branch.

The authority confirmed that medical insurance and the best treatment services are provided to citizens of international quality within Port Said, whether in normal or emergency conditions, noting that more than 2.1 million primary care services have been provided to beneficiaries through the authority’s health centers and units in the governorate, while providing More than 1.9 million secondary and tertiary medical services through hospitals and with the latest technologies and global health practices.

The authority added, during a review of its capabilities to participate in confronting any crisis or disaster within Port Said governorate, that medical services are provided to citizens through 35 health centers and units, in addition to 9 hospitals affiliated with the authority within the governorate, they are constantly supplied with the latest medical and non-medical equipment, and services are increased. The health care provided to them, and the permanent development of them and raising their efficiency, to ensure that the patient does not bear the hardship of traveling to other governorates to receive the necessary health care for his treatment, in addition to the authority’s strategy during the coming periods in the use of artificial intelligence technology and smart robots and its progress in serious and steady steps towards eliminating all paper transactions and transformation Digital services and access to the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

And she added: The capacity of the Authority's hospitals in Port Said is 271 inpatient beds, 24 operating rooms, 130 intensive care and children's care, 6 blood banks, and many ventilators, in addition to including the most skilled medical and administrative cadres in various disciplines to ensure the best service is provided. And health care for patients, pointing out that in the event of crises and disasters, coordination is made between the central emergency room in the authority’s branch in Port Said with the Ismailia Medical Complex also affiliated with the Health Care Authority using 30% of the beds, which includes its capacity of 423 internal beds, 63 intensive care, and 14 Operations room.

She added that this is in addition to the Central Operations Room for Crisis and Emergency Management of the authority in Port Said, which operates under the umbrella of the unified national network for advanced emergency services and public safety, and is equipped with modern communication technology within the framework of a unified and fully secured network for all concerned authorities in the country according to the latest international standards, ensuring speed Responding to various emergency communications.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Health Care, stressed the importance of practical training in the field of crisis management, and prior preparation for how to deal with it, as well as predicting risks before they occur, allowing the preparation of plans and scenarios for confrontation and taking preventive measures to prevent the crisis or quickly deal with it and resolve it before it escalates. El-Sobky also pointed to the importance of cooperation between all parties in the country to quickly contain and confront all kinds of emergencies, crises and disasters and to fully control them as soon as possible, which brings about a qualitative leap for Egypt in the field of dealing with crises, and in line with the development and achievements the country is witnessing in various fields. sectors.

It is worth noting that the joint practical training on crisis and disaster management (Saqr 80) includes the concerned agencies and the various executive authorities in the governorate, including the “Health Care Authority, Supply, Social Solidarity, Health, Ambulance, Civil Protection, Petroleum, Railways, Crisis Management and the Network.” The training is based on hypothetical situations for accidents in some vital sites within the governorate, and the extent to which these executive authorities respond in dealing with crises, and to determine the extent of their readiness with their human and material elements, as well as raising the level of workers in various specialized agencies, refining their skills and training them on how to confront crises. and disasters through the optimal use of the capabilities and means available in the governorate, and the cooperation of all elements involved in joint practical training in cooperation with the armed forces.
