Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, participated in the Arab Health 2025 Conference and Exhibition, the region’s largest gathering of healthcare experts and leaders. During his presentation, Dr. El-Sobky highlighted Egypt’s ambitious healthcare reforms and digital transformation efforts aimed at achieving universal health coverage through enhanced collaboration with the private sector.
In his address, Dr. El-Sobky outlined the remarkable strides Egypt has made in healthcare, positioning the country as a leading investment destination. Dr. El-Sobky’s presentation showcased Egypt’s groundbreaking digital healthcare initiatives, including the "Virtual Hospital", which features nine telemedicine clinics, remote intensive care units, and cutting-edge cardiology programs. He highlighted how these technological advancements are bridging healthcare accessibility gaps, particularly in remote and underserved areas, ensuring a more efficient and inclusive health system.
He further elaborated on Egypt’s partnerships with global healthcare companies to integrate wearable medical devices that provide real-time health monitoring, helping to enhance patient care and chronic disease management. Additionally, he discussed Egypt’s advancements in health technology assessment and the adoption of innovative treatments for chronic and complex diseases.
During his participation at Arab Health 2025, Dr. El-Sobky highlighted key investment opportunities in Egypt’s healthcare sector, citing strong economic growth and a comprehensive incentive framework supported by the Egyptian government to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) in healthcare services.
