Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, witnessed the signing of a bilateral cooperation protocol between the Healthcare Authority and Etisalat Egypt at the Authority’s headquarters in Cairo.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the Healthcare Authority by Dr. Amir El-Telwany, Executive Director of the Authority, and on behalf of Etisalat Egypt by Engineer Hossam El-Maadawy, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, representing Engineer Hazem Metwally, CEO of the company.

Dr. El-Sobky emphasized that the agreement marks the beginning of a long-term strategic partnership with Etisalat Egypt. Dr. El-Sobky announced that one of the key initiatives under this partnership is the digital transformation of the Suez Medical Complex, aiming to make it a fully smart hospital integrated with 5G technology. He highlighted that the construction and equipping of the Suez Medical Complex exceeded EGP 4 billion, making it the largest medical complex in Northern Egypt. The integration of 5G technology will revolutionize healthcare service delivery, optimize hospital workflows, and improve patient outcomes.
