Egypt Healthcare Authority: A Transformational Leap in Healthcare Services Through Medical Complexes in Universal Health Insurance Governorates
The Egypt Healthcare Authority, led by Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, has announced a significant advancement in healthcare services through its medical complexes in the first-phase governorates of the Universal Health Insurance system. This achievement contributes to enhancing the integrated healthcare system and improving healthcare services for all citizens.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky highlighted that the Authority operates five advanced medical complexes in the first-phase governorates of the Universal Health Insurance system:

The Authority has provided more than 9.62 million medical and therapeutic services through these medical complexes. These include emergency and reception services, outpatient clinics, surgeries, intensive care, neonatal care, dialysis, kidney transplants, corneal transplants, general and specialized surgeries, endoscopy, oncology treatment, burn and cosmetic care, radiology, laboratory services, pharmacies, blood banks, and more. These services are offered to Universal Health Insurance beneficiaries in the first-phase governorates, maintaining a world-class standard that matches the best global healthcare systems.

The medical complexes deliver over 30 comprehensive medical and therapeutic services supported by the most skilled healthcare professionals and the latest medical equipment and technologies. Dr. El-Sobky noted that the construction, development, and equipping of these medical complexes have required investments exceeding EGP 7 billion, reflecting the scale of investment in enhancing Egypt's healthcare sector.
He also pointed out that the medical complexes include 155 hotel-style rooms and suites, with some already operational and the rest in progress. These facilities aim to provide exceptional healthcare services with the highest quality standards, in line with the Authority's strategy to achieve clinical and service excellence and strengthen the healthcare system’s capacity to meet citizens' needs.
