Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, participated in the closing ceremony of the 2024 Saudi German Healthcare Awards, which honored top-performing healthcare providers for their contributions to medical excellence.
The event was attended by leaders from the Ministry of Health and Population, prominent figures in the medical community, and key stakeholders from Egypt’s healthcare sector, including public, private, and non-governmental institutions.

Dr. El-Sobky stressed that the awards are a clear testament to Egypt’s commitment to strengthening its healthcare system by fostering collaboration between all stakeholders—governmental, university-based, private, and non-governmental sectors.
"This competition demonstrates the unity of Egypt’s healthcare sectors, all working together toward a strong, sustainable healthcare system that meets the needs and aspirations of the Egyptian people," he added.
In his concluding remarks, Dr. El-Sobky underscored the vital role of the private sector not only in supporting healthcare services and driving social and environmental sustainability.
Recognizing the growing importance of green healthcare initiatives, he proposed the introduction of a sixth award category within the Saudi German Healthcare Awards—a Sustainability & Green Transformation Award, acknowledging projects that contribute to national and global environmental goals in healthcare.
As part of the ceremony’s recognitions, the Saudi German Healthcare Group honored Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky for his pioneering leadership in transforming Egypt’s healthcare sector.
Additionally, Dr. Hani Rashid, Vice Chairman of EHA, received a special recognition for his outstanding contributions as a jury member for the third edition of the Saudi German Healthcare Awards.
