The Egypt Healthcare Authority (EHA) participated in the medical coverage of the Sun Festival at Abu Simbel Temple in Aswan, one of the world’s most significant cultural and touristic events, to ensure the provision of comprehensive healthcare services for visitors and tourists.

In an official statement, EHA confirmed the full readiness of its healthcare facilities in Aswan, comprising 8 hospitals and 89 family medicine centers, totaling 97 facilities, ensuring rapid emergency response and high-quality medical care. Emergency and reception departments were reinforced with trained medical teams, and all necessary medical supplies and medications were secured.

The statement also highlighted the deployment of two mobile medical clinics, one located inside Abu Simbel Temple and the other in the tourist market street, both equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology, including ultrasound machines, patient monitors, ventilators, blood pressure and glucose monitors, and surgical supplies to handle medical emergencies effectively.

Ensuring Health and Safety During Large-Scale Events

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, emphasized that these measures reflect EHA’s commitment to providing world-class healthcare services and ensuring the safety of participants in major events, demonstrating the advancements of the Universal Health Insurance system in Egypt.

Dr. El-Sobky further noted that EHA's efforts were not limited to medical support alone, as it also organized awareness and recreational activities to educate visitors about healthcare services and promote preventive health awareness.

Additionally, EHA actively promoted its "We Care for You in Egypt" medical tourism program, showcasing its high-end healthcare and hospitality services available at its hospitals. Commemorative gifts were also distributed to tourists as part of the engagement.
