The Authority's own revenues doubled this year compared to the previous fiscal year

During the periodic meeting of the Board of Directors of the Health Care Authority No. (88).

The Board of Directors of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, headed by Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki, Chairman of the Authority's Board of Directors, approved the final account and the Authority's technical performance report for the fiscal year 2024/2025.
This came during the periodic meeting No. (88) of the Authority's Board of Directors, which was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki, where the Board discussed a number of vital topics, reviewed performance reports, and issued several important decisions that support the process of development and sustainability in providing high-quality health services.
In this context, the Authority's Board of Directors heard a detailed report on the financial position, final accounts, and financial statements for the fiscal year 2024/2025, as well as the semi-annual performance report on health services for the second half of the fiscal year 2024/2025.
The Authority's Board of Directors confirmed that we have succeeded in providing more than 79 million medical services to comprehensive health insurance beneficiaries in 6 governorates, reaching the highest levels of quality, achieving 7 international credits, and achieving the highest rates of citizen satisfaction, our primary goal.

 


He also explained that we succeeded in closing the budget deficit by 59%, increasing the Authority's revenues by 73% over the previous fiscal year, achieving more than 114 million pounds in medical tourism revenues and 23 million pounds in non-medical services, increasing the growth of the operating surplus by 34%, and increasing the return on activity by 10%. He also pointed out that the Authority's own revenues doubled this year compared to the previous fiscal year.
He also pointed to a significant growth in performance indicators during the second half of 2024/2025, with beneficiaries increasing by 7%, therapeutic services by 30%, accredited facilities by 13%, intensive care by 15%, kidney dialysis by 20%, and a significant increase in the number of operating room equipment and advanced radiology.

 

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki stressed that the state's continued support for the Authority reflects the political leadership's interest in the continuous advancement of the health care sector and keeping pace with the latest global developments.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority also directed the Executive Management to focus on completing the digital transformation, activating the use of artificial intelligence, enhancing scientific research and publishing research papers, and implementing a successful partnership model between the public and private sectors, as part of the Authority's plan to achieve its future goals in the coming period.
The meeting discussed a proposal to transfer the affiliation and complete the development of the International Center for Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine in Ismailia and the Health Insurance Hospital in Aswan. The Authority's Board of Directors approved the transfer of affiliation and completion of the development of the International Center for Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine in Ismailia and the Health Insurance Hospital in Aswan to enhance the medical services provided by the Authority in the governorates of the comprehensive health insurance system and support the sustainability of the system.
During the meeting, the Authority's Board of Directors directed the initiation of procedures to include members of the medical professions working in the Authority in membership in the Medical Professions Risk Compensation Fund, after the approval of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, to improve the work environment and invest in human cadres.

 


On the sidelines of the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Health Care Authority, a joint cooperation protocol was signed between the General Authority for Health Care and the Egyptian Society of Cardiovascular and Cerebral Diseases, where the signing of the protocol was witnessed by Dr. Hani Rashid, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority.
The protocol was signed on behalf of the  Authority for Health Care by Dr. Amir Al-Talwani, Executive Director of the Authority, and on behalf of the Egyptian Society of Cardiovascular and Cerebral Diseases by Professor Dr. Bassem Zarif, Chairman of the Society's Board of Directors.
The protocol aims to implement a specialized training program to qualify doctors in the field of cardiac interventions, in accordance with the latest standards approved by the European Commission for Education and Accreditation in Cardiology (EAPC), which contributes to raising the efficiency of medical personnel in facilities affiliated with the Health Care Authority through integrated training programs that include theoretical aspects and practical application under the supervision of an elite group of experts in this precise specialty.

 


It should be noted that the Authority's Board of Directors meeting is held periodically and monthly to discuss the most important topics related to proposals for developing work and policies, in addition to developing future plans to ensure the continuity of controlling and organizing the provision of health care services to beneficiaries of the comprehensive health insurance system and all customers, with global professionalism and quality.
