As part of his keenness to continuously monitor the quality of medical services provided within the facilities of the General Authority for Health Care, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Authority for Health Care and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, continued his surprise tours of a number of the Authority's facilities in the Canal Region in continuation of his inspection tours that he began at the beginning of the new fiscal year 2025/2026 in Aswan Governorate to follow up on the official operation of the comprehensive health insurance system there.


The head of the Egypt Health Care Authority began his tour by visiting the Family Medicine Center in Qantara East in Ismailia, where he inspected the family medicine and dentistry clinics, in addition to the vaccination room, and was keen to listen directly to the opinions of beneficiaries about the quality of medical services provided within the center and the extent of their satisfaction with the service.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky stressed that the Qantara East Center is an advanced model in providing primary health care services, as the number of primary health services provided since its inception has reached more than 171 thousand services and serves more than 36 thousand citizens, reflecting the extent of the center's efficiency in meeting the health needs of citizens

 

The tour also included a visit to Qantara East Specialized Hospital, affiliated with the Authority in Ismailia Governorate, where Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky inspected the reception and emergency departments, radiology, dialysis, and the internal department; followed up on the progress of work within them; reviewed performance rates; and surveyed the opinions of beneficiaries about the level and quality of medical and therapeutic services provided.


He pointed out that the hospital succeeded in providing about 16,000 medical and therapeutic services within just four months of the official start of operation in March 2025, stressing that these indicators reflect the efficiency of the facility's operation in accordance with international standards.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki also decided to pay an incentive reward to distinguished workers in therapeutic facilities, based on citizens' satisfaction rates with the quality of service, stressing that promoting a culture of excellence and internal motivation is one of the pillars of the Health Care Authority's strategy.

Ismailia Governor: The admission of Qantara Al Sharqiya and Tal Al Kabir hospitals is a great added value to the health system in the governorate to relieve pressure on the medical complex and facilitate access to medical services for the governorate's residents.
