- The Chairman of the Egypt  Health Care Authority participates in the meetings of the Health Working Group within the "Egypt Beyond 2025" project to accelerate the achievement of the goals of "Egypt Vision 2030" and formulate a comprehensive national vision for the health care sector beyond 2030

• Developing the health vision is a priority under the new republic. He stresses, There are important and emerging issues that need to be included. Most notably: refugees, confronting the migration of doctors, increasing hospital beds, expanding primary care, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence
• The importance of representing all concerned parties within the "Egypt After 2025" project, including the government, representatives of Parliament, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, the private sector, civil society, representatives of the national dialogue, and national and international experts, in a way that ensures the realism of the vision and its comprehensiveness of all future dimensions
• Al-Sobki appreciates the National Planning Institute's initiative to follow up on the implementation of "Egypt Vision 2030." He stressed: The Health Care Authority is fully prepared to provide all its expertise and experiences in support of updating national visions to build a comprehensive and just health system

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority for Health Care, participated in the first meeting of the working group on the health axis, which is organized by the National Planning Institute within the "Egypt After 2025" project, in the presence of a number of heads of agencies, leaders, and representatives of ministries and concerned authorities, in addition to an elite group of experts and specialists.

 

During his participation, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki stressed that participation in this meeting comes in line with the ambitious vision led by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to build the new republic, of which health is one of its most important basic pillars.

He explained that the resilience and cohesion of the health system in the face of pandemics and major challenges could only have been achieved thanks to strong political will and the firm belief of His Excellency the President in the importance of health as a pivotal national sector in formulating future policies.

 

He pointed out that the future vision of the health sector must be based on reality and anticipate the future through an integrated national plan based on a careful analysis of the current situation, a clear assessment of strengths and challenges, and the formulation of multiple implementable scenarios. He also noted that the "Egypt Beyond 2025" project must be a national path that unites the efforts of all sectors of the state and a reference for future policies.

Al-Sobki also pointed to the most prominent achievements of "Egypt Vision 2030," noting the issuance of legislation establishing the three main bodies in the comprehensive health insurance system, in addition to other health bodies, which contributed to building an integrated institutional structure that supports the goals of sustainable health development and enhances health coverage rates. He also noted the pioneering role of presidential health initiatives, which contributed to improving public health indicators and increased the value of prevention and early detection.

 


The chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority stressed the importance of periodically reviewing health indicators in light of local and international changes, noting that it has become necessary to include a number of important and emerging issues within the "Egypt After 2025" project, most notably the refugee issue, confronting the migration of doctors, increasing the number of hospital beds, expanding primary health care, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence, in a way that enhances readiness and integration.

 

He explained that health is not just a service but a strategic tool for achieving social justice and ensuring quality of life, stressing that the new vision cannot be achieved without a real partnership and integrated coordination between the various state institutions, including the government, representatives of parliament, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, the private sector, civil society, representatives of the national dialogue, and national and international experts, in a way that ensures the realism of the vision and its comprehensiveness of all future dimensions and its reflection of the aspirations of the new republic.

 

He pointed out that the Authority, with its real field expertise and experience in implementing the comprehensive health insurance system, is developing all its practical visions to support efforts to formulate modern health policies that meet the challenges and requirements of the future.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky also thanked the National Planning Institute for organizing this important initiative, stressing the Authority's commitment to being a key partner in setting future national policies and employing all its capabilities and expertise to reach a comprehensive, flexible, advanced, and just health system that achieves sustainable development goals and keeps pace with the ambitions of the new republic.

 

The working group aims to contribute effectively to formulating a future national vision for the health sector in Egypt, which accelerates the pace of achieving the goals of "Egypt Vision 2030" and sets clear frameworks for building an integrated and sustainable health system beyond 2030, based on the principles of justice, integration, and sustainable development.

It is worth noting that the Health Working Group is the first group launched by the National Planning Institute within the "Egypt After 2025" project, to be followed by other working groups including human resources, the private sector and civil society, prevention and public health, and medicine and supplies.
