The Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority meets with the CEO of Orange Egypt to discuss enhancing cooperation in the fields of communications, digital transformation and automation to enhance innovation in healthcare

The virtual hospital in Ismailia is the first in Africa, the third in the Arab world, and the largest of its kind in the Middle East. He discussed cooperation with Orange to exchange experiences in using artificial intelligence and training health educators

The next phase will witness major strategic partnerships with the private sector and the implementation of a model partnership to be emulated

Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authorty, met with Dr. Hisham Mahran, CEO of Orange Egypt, at the Authority's main headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of communications, digital transformation, and automation, which would contribute to enhancing innovation, providing more advanced health services, and keeping pace with the country's goals for sustainable development.
The meeting discussed cooperation and exchange of expertise in the fields of virtual medical care technology and telemedicine services implemented in Europe, in addition to supporting the technological operation of the virtual hospital in Ismailia, and preparing it to connect with medical points in a number of African countries, to enhance the Authority's presence in Africa in implementation of the directives of the political leadership.
The two sides also discussed cooperation in the areas of exchanging expertise using artificial intelligence and training health educators, stressing that the Ismailia Virtual Hospital is the first of its kind in Africa, the third in the Arab world, and the largest in the Middle East in terms of capabilities.
The meeting discussed cooperation in enhancing means of communication in remote areas, interacting with patients and following up on reservations via SMS messages, which contributes to improving the patient experience and increasing the effectiveness of communication with beneficiaries.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki stressed that the next stage will witness major strategic partnerships with the private sector, and the implementation of a partnership model to be emulated in developing health care in Egypt.
For his part, Dr. Hesham Mahran, CEO of Orange Egypt, expressed his pride in cooperating with the General Authority for Healthcare, praising its continuous successes and insistence on development and innovation, stressing that Orange possesses the capabilities that qualify it to contribute strongly and effectively to the state's efforts for technological transformation, especially the healthcare sector.
