Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki expressed his happiness at participating in the annual conference of the General Syndicate of Egyptian Doctors, stressing that the meeting represents an important opportunity to open channels of direct dialogue with medical captains and representatives of sub-unions about the challenges and opportunities available to develop the medical profession and support Egyptian doctors.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky also participated in a workshop entitled "Doctors in the Comprehensive Health Insurance System and the Return of Experiences Initiative," where Dr. El-Sobky gave an introductory lecture on the privileges of doctors and their updated career path in the comprehensive health insurance system, with the participation of Dr. Osama Abdel-Hay, Head of the General Syndicate of Doctors; Dr. Tamer El-Bohi; Dr. Ahmed Fathi; and Dr. Abu Al-Naja Al-Hajjaji.
During his speech, Dr. Ahmed Al-Sobki affirmed the political leadership's directive to provide maximum support to medical staff and to advance the system of continuing medical education and missions abroad, ensuring the development of the clinical level of doctors and knowledge of the latest international medical practices.
He pointed out that the healthcare authority's work philosophy is based on caring for the human element morally, materially, and educationally, as it is the cornerstone of providing medical services with sustainable global quality, pointing to the creation of two new departments within the authority's organizational structure concerned with employee satisfaction and moral support as a practical means of implementing this philosophy.
He explained that the Authority is re-injecting its own revenues in the form of incentives to enhance productivity, stressing its success in filling the deficit of most medical specialties through flexible and multiple contracting systems that suit the nature of the work of different medical categories.
Al-Sobki added that the Authority has developed an integrated strategy to support doctors, which includes launching the "NILE" program to attract immigrant minds and constantly working to improve the work environment and provide material, moral, and scientific support to confront the challenges of immigration.
He pointed out that the Authority succeeded in ending decades of administrative fragmentation and duplication in evaluating workers in health facilities by including and integrating all medical staff, health bodies, and institutions under the umbrella of the Authority in a historic step to enhance equality and job stability for doctors and service providers.
He also announced that the Authority has issued 592 treatment protocols to unify clinical practice standards, in addition to approving a mandatory training system (Log Book) for continuous training for all medical specialties and categories, with incentives to be linked to adherence to training programs in the future.
He added that the Authority is working to localize medical services in various governorates, while providing suitable housing for doctors and providing additional incentives to work in remote areas, in addition to organizing training missions abroad on an ongoing basis, considering these policies as essential pillars for retaining doctors and enhancing their scientific, professional, and academic level.
At the conclusion of the conference, the president of the General Syndicate of Doctors and members of the General Syndicate Council honored Dr. Ahmed Al-Sabki, chairman of the Health Care Authority, in appreciation of the Authority's efforts in supporting doctors' rights and improving their work environment, as the president of the Doctors Syndicate and the General Syndicate Council presented him with the shield of the General Syndicate of Egyptian Doctors.
