The Egypt Healthcare Authority announced the signing of a bilateral cooperation protocol with Saudi German Health during the Arab Health Exhibition and Conference 2024, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from January 29 to February 1, 2024, under the slogan "Connecting Minds, Creating the Future in Healthcare."

The protocol signing was witnessed by Professor Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the Honorable Minister of Health and Population; Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, head of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance and Decent Life projects at the Ministry of Health and Population; Dr. Mansour Al-Jundi, Head of the Medical Sector for Saudi German Health; Mr. Madani Al-Hazzin, Head of the Financial Sector for Saudi German Health; Dr. Abdelalim Sheishi, Head of Revenue Cycle and Sales Management for the group; along with several leaders and managers from different departments within the Egypt Healthcare Authority and representatives from the group.

The protocol was signed by Dr. Amir Talwani, the Executive Director of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, on behalf of the Authority, and Dr. Ahmed Shubl, the CEO of Saudi German Health, on behalf of the group.

Professor Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, expressed his happiness about the signing of the cooperation protocol between the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Saudi German Health to continue developing the healthcare system in Egypt, pointing out that cooperation between the government and private sectors is the basis for achieving comprehensive development in the country and providing global, integrated, comprehensive, distinguished, and innovative health services to citizens.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, head of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, mentioned that the cooperation protocol aims to exchange expertise in the fields of development and capacity building of medical and administrative staff at Saudi German Health hospitals, and achieve excellence in the healthcare sector in Egypt, continuing: "We move forward in enhancing the exchange of experiences, cooperation, and forming strategic partnerships with the private sector to continue developing the healthcare system in Egypt."

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky confirmed that the political leadership and the Egyptian government support every initiative that integrates both the government and private sectors with the aim of continuing to develop and strengthen the Egyptian healthcare sector and enhance its sustainability, emphasizing that the participation of various sectors and health institutions in building the Egyptian healthcare system embodies the state's concept from a comprehensive perspective, noting that the state has established a strong relationship for sharing among all sectors, whether government, private, or civil, and has worked to create an environment to attract more health investments.

Dr. Ahmed Shubl, CEO of Saudi German Health, said, "We are proud of our fruitful and ongoing cooperation with the Healthcare Authority, a giant entity in healthcare in the region," and continued, "Saudi German Health seeks to develop and empower human resources and permanently enhance their skills, and the group will spare no effort in enhancing institutional performance and providing the best innovative healthcare services and facilities in line with its firm commitment to supporting the sector's growth."
