The Egypt Healthcare Authority launches the Egyptian Doctor's Day celebration for the year 2024 under the slogan "The Egyptian Doctor: A Proud History, A Bright Future."

The President's Advisor for Health and Prevention Affairs: Egyptian doctors are tirelessly working, have made great sacrifices, and provided wonderful services to the citizens, and he confirms: The doctor is the backbone of the health sector.

The head of the Egypt Healthcare Authority: Doctors are a fundamental pillar in our health system and a pride to the nation with their professional and humanitarian efforts, and we will always strive to improve their conditions and provide the appropriate work environment for them, in execution of the political leadership's directives.

The Ambassador of Japan to Egypt expresses his deep appreciation for the close cooperation between Egypt and Japan in the field of healthcare and praises the excellence of Egyptian doctors and their distinction and uniqueness in providing advanced healthcare, describing them as among the best medical talents in the world.

The Syndicate of Doctors: Egyptian Doctor's Day is a message of thanks and appreciation to the health cadres and confirms: Medicine is a humanitarian profession that embodies serving people, and Egyptian doctors are a model to be followed in giving and represent a beacon of hope, especially during crises and health pandemics.


Today, the Egypt Healthcare Authority launched the Egyptian Doctor's Day celebration for the year 2024, under the slogan "The Egyptian Doctor: A Proud History, A Bright Future," in appreciation of the efforts of Egyptian doctors working in the field of healthcare.

This was in the presence of Professor Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, the President's Advisor for Health and Prevention Affairs, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, the head of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and the Supervisor General of the Comprehensive Health Insurance and Decent Life projects at the Ministry of Health and Population, Ambassador Oka Hiroshi, the Ambassador of Japan to Egypt, Dr. Ahmed Taha, the head of the General Authority for Accreditation and Healthcare Supervision, Dr. Mohamed Lotfy, the Executive President of the Egyptian Health Council, Dr. Osama Abdel Hay, the General Syndicate of Doctors, along with figures from the union work, and success partners from the private and civil sectors, as well as a number of leaders, senior officials, and prominent figures and success partners in the healthcare sector in Egypt.

Professor Dr. Mohamed Awad Tag El-Din, the President's Advisor for Health and Prevention Affairs, expressed his happiness to participate in this celebration that honors the Egyptian doctor and celebrates their achievements in the field of healthcare. He praised the significant contribution of doctors in enhancing the capabilities of the Egyptian health system and achieving positive change, thanking them and expressing his full support for efforts aimed at developing healthcare in the country. He confirmed that doctors care for humans before birth and at all life stages, work in public health services, treatment, prevention, and health education areas, which significantly improves patients' quality of life. He praised the tireless efforts and great sacrifices made by doctors, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, asserting that the doctor is the backbone of the health sector, remembering the contributions of many great figures in the field of medicine and treatment.

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, in his opening speech for the celebration, said that today we celebrate Egyptian doctors, to recognize and appreciate their efforts, and to highlight the nation's pride in them. The Egyptian Doctor's Day aims to honor doctors who demonstrate day after day their efficiency in providing the best therapeutic services to patients. They have made great efforts to establish medical standards in Egypt, embraced and localized all modern medical technologies, and showed their dedication to their humanitarian role in maintaining community health. He noted that Egyptian doctors are a fundamental pillar in our health system and that efforts will always be made to improve their conditions and provide the appropriate work environment for them, in line with the directives of the political leadership. They are considered a pride to the nation with their professional and humanitarian efforts, and their efforts and dedication have enhanced Egypt's position in the global healthcare field.

Dr. El-Sobky added that the medical sector has achieved significant accomplishments during the era of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic. He referred to the President's keenness on building the human and investing its capabilities, believing in the importance of establishing a comprehensive health system, rich with talents, capabilities, readiness, and excellence, within an encouraging and supportive environment for the national health cadres. These efforts included developing the health infrastructure, improving medical equipment, providing modern technologies, developing medical education and scientific research for health cadres, closely cooperating with local and international development partners, and striving to achieve comprehensive and equitable health coverage for all citizens. He affirmed that the achievements made by Egyptian doctors in recent years reflect their high efficiency and expertise, and showcase their ability to enhance the level of healthcare

and raise quality standards.

Dr. El-Sobky continued by stating that this special celebration, which honors the Egyptian doctor and sheds light on healthcare in Egypt, also serves as an ideal platform to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise among stakeholders in the healthcare sector. He emphasized the importance of the healthcare sector in achieving sustainable development and securing a better health future for citizens. He committed to continuing efforts to improve performance and strengthen cooperation with all government, private, civil, and international institutions, to enhance healthcare and achieve sustainable development in Egypt. In related news, Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, head of the Egypt Healthcare Authority, announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the authority and Takeda Egypt during the Egyptian Doctor's Day celebration events. The agreement supports the establishment of an integrated practice unit for treating cancer patients, aiming to enhance cooperation and scientific exchange in healthcare. He confirmed that this partnership would contribute to strengthening medical capabilities and fostering innovation in the health field.

He added that the celebration includes honoring several symbols and leaders in healthcare and doctors who have made distinguished contributions.
