The Luxor branch of the Egypt Healthcare Authority welcomed a delegation from Janssen, the pharmaceutical arm of Johnson & Johnson, led by Mr. Sevan Kaloustian, Executive Director of Janssen Pharmaceuticals for Egypt, North Africa, and Jordan. The delegation was received by Dr. Ahmed El-Borai, Head of the Upper Egypt Region and Supervisor of the Luxor branch of the Egypt Healthcare Authority.
During the meeting, the discussion focused on ways to enhance cooperation between the Egypt Healthcare Authority and Janssen, particularly in training service providers on the latest global updates and treatment protocols for several diseases, including blood disorders, immune diseases, and supporting digital transformation to improve the working environment and provide data for decision-making. This collaboration aims to improve performance indicators and the quality of healthcare services provided in Upper Egypt.
Dr. Ahmed El-Borai also presented the performance indicators of the Luxor branch over the past three years, highlighting the role of the Authority in promoting the culture of health quality and improving medical services for beneficiaries, ensuring an improved patient experience within the facility. The delegation was given a tour of the Egypt Healthcare Authority's facilities in Luxor, where they observed the quality of healthcare services provided and received feedback from patients, including foreign tourists who praised the services they received.
Dr. Sevan Kaloustian praised the noticeable leap in the quality of medical services at the Egypt Healthcare Authority's facilities, noting the Authority's role in providing healthcare services according to the highest global quality standards, which aim to achieve sustainability. He expressed the company's appreciation for the Authority's efforts in improving beneficiary satisfaction and affirmed the company's eagerness for more cooperation with the Egypt Healthcare Authority in the future.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sebki, Chairman of the Egypt Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project, emphasized the Authority’s commitment to enhancing and developing collaborative relationships with the private sector, which is a crucial partner in the success and sustainability of the healthcare system. He highlighted the government's support in creating a conducive environment for cooperation between the public and private sectors and health investment, which drives collaborative efforts towards achieving sustainable development, particularly in line with Egypt's Vision 2030.
