Healthcare Authority Collaborates with Yodawy to Enhance Healthcare Services in Egypt
The Egypt Healthcare Authority has announced a strategic partnership with Yodawy to improve healthcare services in Egypt. This collaboration aims to introduce innovative, technology-driven solutions that simplify access to medications and healthcare services, ensuring greater patient efficiency and effectiveness.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, Chairman of the Healthcare Authority and General Supervisor of the Universal Health Insurance Project and Hayat Karema Projects, met with Yodawy’s leadership team, including Karim Khashaba, Co-founder and CEO, Dr. Yasser Abdel Gawad, Co-founder and COO, and Dr. Hossam Daraz, Chief Commercial Officer. Also present were senior representatives from Moharram & Partners, including Brigadier Mostafa El-Sehly, VP of Government Relations, Dr. Ehab Sourial, VP of Healthcare and Pharmacy, Dr. Rasha El-Kafrawy, Director of Government Relations, and Dr. Raymonda Rafaat, Public Policy Manager for Healthcare and Pharmacy.
Integration with Authority Services
The collaboration will focus on integrating Yodawy’s platform with pharmacies and outpatient clinics under the Healthcare Authority to facilitate access to its services for both Universal Health Insurance beneficiaries and private health insurance holders.
Streamlining Prescription Services
Over 400,000 electronic prescriptions will be provided annually, reducing medical errors and expediting access to medications.
Building a Comprehensive Health Database
The partnership aims to develop an integrated health data bank to support informed medical decision-making and financial sustainability within Egypt's healthcare system.
Enhancing Private Insurance Coverage
This collaboration will extend healthcare services to private insurance beneficiaries, emphasizing senior citizens and individuals with chronic illnesses, while also exploring health insurance programs for tourists and international students in private universities.
Dr. El-Sobky emphasized the Authority’s commitment to continuous development and innovation in the national healthcare system.
